We went to see “Lincoln” this afternoon at the Arclight. This was the scene from the roof before going in, and then some shots after the movie. More here.
Such a pretty sky tonight in Beverly Hills!
And those Hollywood nights,
In those Hollywood Hills.
She was looking so right,
In her diamonds and frills.
All those big city nights,
In those high rolling hills.
Above all the lights,
She had all of the skills.
Sunset tonight over the Hollywood Sign, Downtown Los Angeles and the Beverly Center.
Went to see “The Bourne Legacy” at The Grove tonight with Andrew. It was a really fun movie.

Last weekend while driving past Wilshire Blvd in downtown LA, we noticed what looked like a terrible accident. It seemed as if cars had been driven off the roof of a parking garage and crashed to the pavement. Upon closer inspection, we realized they were just filming a movie, set in the streets of New York City, with a harrowing car chase and explosives. Most of the “debris” was spray painted styrofoam. They even had a cannon that fired “rocks”. Here’s my “Director’s cut” of the movie and the photos I took can be viewed here:http://tinyurl.com/7gz63mk
MacArthur Park would be a lot prettier if they’d just take a power sprayer to it every once in a while. Still a nice urban backdrop…and a long history.
